Speaking
The best talks and workshops do one thing: get a room of people to feel an "aha" moment, not just listen to it. I distill complicated, fast-moving domains, including human-robot interaction, generative AI, physical computing, and prototyping, into frameworks people can learn hands-on and actually use the next day. In addition to teaching workshops and speaking at conferences, I teach "Storytelling in Design" at the University of Texas as part of the Center for Integrated Design (2022–present).

Talks & Interviews
My talks and interviews focus on actionable outcomes. I talk about process and methodology for user-centered design and prototyping, and drive the message home with stories of both successes and failures.
Notable: interviewed Ginni Rometty, IBM's CEO and Chairwoman, on the SXSW IBM Pavilion stage.
I've also interviewed other design leaders at IBM, including Phil Gilbert on IBM's radio station, sharing their stories with a broad audience to provide mentorship at scale.
Workshops
I distill complicated domains into understandable frameworks and hands-on activities. I've helped C-suite executives prioritize roadmaps, Product Managers determine how to incorporate AI into their business strategies, and driven alignment across groups of 70+ stakeholders.
I also regularly facilitate workshops at conferences: half-day interactive workshops at SXSW, UXLx, O'Reilly Design Conference, Austin Design Week, and others.
